AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE OF ZAGORA, PELION
The Agricultural Cooperative of Zagora is one of the oldest Greek cooperatives, since it was founded in 1916 by 199 Zagorians. In 1985, the Cooperative entered a new phase of organized commercial enterprise activity. The trademark (Zagorin) was registered and every authentic apple, since then, carries the sticker that makes it special. In 1996 came recognition with the “Protected Designation of Origin” label from the European Union and since then, the apples of Zagora Pelion have been traveling around the world and conquering international markets, after 104 years of continuous production and presence in the agricultural sector! The Agricultural Cooperative of Zagora produces tested, high quality, guaranteed apples with a protected designation of origin. This distinction certifies that the apple of Zagora Pelion is a product of high standards. With the “Integrated Production” method, the apple is spotlessly clean, healthy, that’s why it is trusted in Greece and all over the world.
